Twankful Twog for the Twenty Fourth

It's somewhat dreary outside, but that's okay. Kenz and I plan to do a little decorating. Yes, Christmas before Thanksgiving; but I have help so I have to take advantage! It will be just enough for a sneak preview of what's to come! What am I thankful for? Well of course, time spent with Kenz! Is it too early to start a count down to Christmas?!

Twankful Twog for the twenty twird!

I have been blessed with an over abundance of things to be grateful for. Sometimes I have a difficult time narrowing it down to just one! This morning I am thankful that I am able to go to Round Rock to pick up my niece Kenz. She's coming to help me do the usual holiday stuff-bake, shop, crafts, decorate, shop, eat out, go to the movies, shop, etc. Did I mention shop?! I am ever so thankful that we can spend the time together! I know that we will have a grand ol' time, we always do!

Twankful twog for the twenty first

What a delight to find two little cutie pies looking back at me! Linda, my sis, snuck right inside my blog and surprised me! Don't you just love modern technology (well...sometimes anyway)!

Linda's timing was impeccable; I needed uplifting this morning. I am most twankful for my sis, and would surely hug her to pieces if she were here in this freezin' living room of mine! Not only am I twankful for her I feel so blessed to have such a godly woman in my life! I love you!

Remember the B-A-H story?! Rosa came the other day to clean and as much as I appreciate her, I'm always amazed at how some of my "pretties" get arranged and positioned after being dusted (I know...I know...I'm not complaining, trust me on this), anyway, lo and behold the next morning I find the letters spelling A-H-B! I've yet to hear from Joe on this new acronym, so stay tuned....

Twog #18

It just occurred to me that Linda decided that a twog should be like a twitter on a blog and here I've been writing volumes! So here goes, I am twankful for the beautiful weather today! We had a very enjoyable experience at the zoo! I will also be very twankful for my bed tonight! "Nuff said!

Twankful Twog #17

Last week I bought some really pretty letters at my fav store, Hob Lob! You'll have to imagine what they look like because I still can't figure out how to insert pics! They're black ceramic, about 2 -3 inches high, and look somewhat french to me! Upon opening up the bag I discovered that the "t" was broken. So just to get an idea of how they would look I placed the "b"; the "a"; and the "h" in the window above my tub...in that order. They look great! I actually love them! Hubby comes down the next morning and is on the lap top when he asks me what B-A-H stands for. Mind you this is early in the morning; I haven't even finished my Diet Coke! I said I don't know. Is it a text abbreviation? He replied no, you put those letters above the tub. Do they stand for "Baths Are Heavenly"??? I'm telling you-he had a straight face. He was being dead serious! I laughed and laughed! Really?? Would I do that? Don't answer that question! What am I thankful for...a good laugh! Humor goes a long way! Hope you get a big chuckle out of something today! :)

Twankful Twog for the 16th

I was at a meeting today, so Amy (young son one's girlfriend) subbed for me. I am sooooo thankful that I don't have to be concerned about my class when she's my sub! Another reason I'm thankful for Amy is because she takes good care of my Nicholas Peabody! Love you Amy!

Twankful Twog #15

Today I'm a wee bit tired, but it's a good tired! Yesterday, we shopped and shopped and then shopped some more! We had a great time and it was well worth being a little weary today. After all the money spending adventures were over (sorry babe!), Linda and I headed out to the Woodlands for our Supper Club. It was so much fun and it's always so nice to be able to hang with friends that you don't get to see very often. Anyway, I'm twankful for the hostess with the mostess, Twerry! Twanks Twerry for the good "grub" and great time! Would you like another margarita?! :)

Twankful Twog 14

Is it really the 14th already? So, my niece and her friend came into town to go the Nutcracker Market. If you are not familiar with the Market, I strongly suggest you go one year. The market is a fundraiser for the Houston Ballet and a Christmas shopping extravaganza that you will never forget. It is the ultimate place to shop. There are rows and rows of shopping possibilites! Anyway, they camped out here last night and today we are headed yet to another arts and crafts show! What am I twankful for? I am twankful that I have been blessed with such fun nieces and great nieces to hang out with! I love this time of the year and consider it to be a season of the year- Craft Show Season! And with this season I get to hang with my girls more than usual! I love my girls and I am twuly twankful for them!

Twankful Twog #13

What a nice day out! The sweetest thing happened to me yesterday. Everyone knows how detrimental Diet Coke is to my well being and it certainly benefits my students as well! :) So yesterday as I headed down the hallway at dismissal time, a cute little girl stopped me while digging in her backpack and handed me a Diet Coke! It was from her older brother who is in Junior High now! Of course, I was so touched at such a thoughtful gesture, but after thinking a moment about it, I realized that my legacy just might be - The teacher Who Loved Diet Coke! I can just hear it now, I had Mrs. Cronan; I can't remember what grade I had her or what subject she taught, but she sure loved Diet Coke! What am I twankful for? Duh?! Diet Coke!

Twankful Twog Twelve

Today, I'm concerned about Chase and his lack of rationale! He has hurt himself yet again! I don't believe I mentioned his last mishap on his long board(skateboard). He busted his forehead open right above the eyebrow which he busted wide open playing a two below (whatever!) game in the park. Now, he has scraped his face from forehead to nose to chin from either diving into a pool or on his longboard. I'm not sure because I'm getting conflicting stories. I'm apt to believe that it happened in the pool and he doesn't want me to know it! So anyway by now you must be thinking what on earth is she thankkfuk for?! :) Well, I am so darn thankful for modern day technology! At least I was able to call him and check on him without worrying about long distance charges! I just dated myself, didn't I?! What ever shall I do with this child of mine?

Twankful Twog #11

Well, it happened again! Every year our school has a Veteran’s Day Program and every year I cry! It touches my heart to see our Veterans old and young alike stand when their song is played. I’m especially thankful for the program this year because it allowed me to reconnect with a student I had many years ago. He will be leaving next Tuesday for the US Air Force to proudly serve our country. Please say a prayer for this brave young man.

Time to catch up...

Twankful Twog #8

On Sundays, Nick and Amy come for lunch or dinner depending on Joe's schedule. And when Chase is home from school we are all here to spend good quality time together. This is when the good stuff happens! I am so thankful for my "4" boys because they continue to bring huge grins to my face and laughter to my heart! The best part of all is that I know they always will!

Twankful Twog #9

I had a root canal today and I am twuly twankful for the dentist who was ever so gentle with me! He even thanked me for being a good patient! I wonder if he'll twog about me?!

Twankful Twog #10

My hubby is the best in the west...or in DP TX anyway! He brought home MCC (that's Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream for those of you who are not in the know)! It sure felt good in my sore mouth! God blessed me with a great man! Am I thankful? You better bet I am!

There now I am caught up!

Bear's Blog

Oops...I meant to give you the site- bearcronan.blogspot.com/ if you would like to follow his progress.

Twankful Twog #7

I am ever so grateful for Bear's Blog. It's an easy way for Jenn to keep us posted of his journey. Bear is hubby's cousin and an incredibly courageous young man. He has been diagnosed with Stage One Multiple Myeloma, which is a cancer of the blood that affects the bones. Please send up a special prayer for him and his family; he has a long hard road ahead of him.
Hope you are able to enjoy the bright sunshine today!

Twankful Twog #5

I love church marquees! I am thankful that I have DPUMC right around the corner from my new house. This week's says-God does not call the equipped; he equips the called. Pretty good, huh? I hope wherever you are the sun is shining brightly and the sky is blue...until tomorrow!

Twankful Twog for for Nov. 4th

I am so grateful that I know our glorious God! This morning standing in my closet I felt him in my heart. I knew that it would be a good day, and sure enough it has been. I had more compassion and patience today than usual and I know it's because I started my day with Him.
Thank you Lord for being my Savior!

Twankful Twog for Nov. 3rd

I am thankful for all of Zach's smiles last night. He was all but giddy! We bought him a car, a 1986 Camaro yesterday and needless to say he was beside himself! As thankful as I am that we are financially able to do this, I am equally as worried about the thought of him driving. Please say a prayer for Zach and the other drivers on the street that may encounter him! :)

Two twankful twogs!

Okay, so some of you are thinking what the heck is a twog?! Well according to my sis and her great imagination, a twog is like a tweet. However, we don't have twitter accounts to tweet on so she thought we should twog on our blogs instead!

Our mission is to post a thankful twog for every day in November, but I kinda like the sound of calling it a twankful twog...so there!

I was out of commission yesterday because Joe and I went to Young Son One's Halloween party Saturday and tried to hang with the 20+ crowd, so I'm already a day behind and it's only the 2nd day of the month!

Twankful twog for Nov. 1st

If I could have made it to the computer yesterday, which would have required me to move my head and I dared not, I would have definitely posted how thankful I am for peace and quiet. After a night of acting like a young whippersnapper (do you love that word as much as I do?!) I was destined to have a pounding headache all day! So while Joe, Grandpa, and Young Son Three went to Bryan and put a new alternator on Chase's jeep, I enjoyed the peace and quiet as I napped off and on all day. Ahhh...just what I needed! Yes, I am always thankful for peace and quiet!

Twankful twog for Nov. 2nd

I am thankful that Shay has found time to blog! Yeah Shay! I love to hear stories about all my little dear ones!

It's Fall Ya'll!

On Saturday, we held our First Annual Pumpkin Decorating Party. We had so much fun seeing all the little ones in their costumes! There's nothing better than being surrounded by children, seeing their sweet smiles and listening to their giggles. We had such a good time with our family! Thanks Shay for being such a trooper and coming in from Austin with the girls! The adults cracked me up with their competitiveness. Princess Mir needed more items to complete her pumpkin than a doctor needs to perform an operation. May I have tape, markers, scissors, and your Yankee candle?! She thought the scented candle would earn her style points. Whatever! A Texans pumpkin would need more than a nice fragrance to earn extra points! GO COWBOYS! Shauna brought a tutu and bow to complete her DP Cheerleader pumpkin. At least she knows a good football team when she sees one! Little Lindsay looking so adorable in her Jasmine costume made a Princess Pumpkin using Potato head type pieces. So cute! Scott's pumpkin included a mirror with his image reflected in it! Boy, was it frightening! Everyone did such a great job, but Kenz won with her Cat Design! Good times, good times!
